Come out, wherever you are. That’s what sexy UK jock Matt Jarvis is encouraging gay athletes to do. The 26-year-old says that homosexuality in professional sport shouldn’t be a “shock” in today’s society. Jarvis is only the third professional footballer to grace the cover of Attitude magazine. David Beckham and Freddie Ljungberg did it in 2002 and 2006 respectively. Matt is using this platform to expose himself (Praise Jesus) and to make his opinions heard. Yeah, of course. It’s everyday life. It’s not something that’s going to be a shock. I’m sure there are many footballers who are gay, but when they decide to actually come out and say it is a different story. It’s one that I’m sure they’ve thought about many times. But it’s a hard thing for them to do.” – Matt Jarvis In addition to all the support he feels the league, other players and fans would give once out of the closet, it would also improve their game, he feels. You know what? I completely agree with him. I hate to sound like a cliche, but once you come out it really does feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. “If you can let that go and then just concentrate on your one goal, which is whichever sport you’re doing to the best of your ability, I think that would help. Definitely… I’m sure that would help with the team situation, yeah” – Matt Jarvis Check out a few more photos of Jarvis posing his “balls” and in his underwear. You have a clear view on which side “it” likes to lean towards ;)
